The Hoildays and Seasons Greetings

(Warning: This post contains lots of pictures...)
I'm finally able to find the time to blog. All my assignments and my tests have been taking up a lot of my time and now that I'm 'over' them, I have all the time I need for myself. But the final exam is coming so there aren't that much time for me to be enjoying. But for now I just wanna chill out and write some entries for my blog.

It's been a little more than a month since I last blog. A lot things have happened in this one month. I've got myself involved in some football competition and went on a holiday to Singapore during Christmas.

There was this co-curricular tournament that took place in the college on the 17th and the 18th. I, being a senior in college, wasn't suppose to take part or be involved in anyway but I was given an exception because.... I was given an exception to join la.. Actually I am very close to the coach and I managed to get him to put me in one of the teams. I joined this little tourney twice before this and didn't go far. My first try, I lost in the first round and on my second try, I only managed to reach the second round.

This time around my team, TEAM 3, didn't only manage to go through the first round, quarter finals and semi final but the FINAL!!!!! Yes that's right... we managed to pull ourselves to the final.. Being the underdog in the tourney, nobody knew we could make it that far; not even myself. Well we emerged from the final as... the loser. We only managed a second place but it was good enough.. This is basically the match result for my team...

First Round (group stage)
Team 3 vs King Kong 0-1
Team 3 vs ZeroVersion 2-0 (I scored both goals!!!)
Team 3 vs Team Mario 0-0

Quarter-final
Team 3 vs King Kong 1-0

Semi-final
Team 3 vs P2P 2-0

Final
Team 3 vs 9 stars 1-3 (I scored again...)

This is the medal that I received... the silverware...(yeah right!! some plastic with the college emblem on one side and the word "Runner-up" on the other)

But it doesn't really matter. What matters the most to me was the acheivement and the amount of fun I had at the end of the day...
Then on the 24th, that's Christmas eve, I went down south to little Singapore... Man, was I excited. This was my first trip out of this country after 15 YEARS... so you guys just can't blame me for being that excited.

Everything there seems so different compared to Malaysia. For examle like this car sign board that I saw. Any Malaysian driver will noticed that the 'car' is longer and more 'luxurious' than those on our Malaysian sign board....

Stayed at Amara Hotel in Tanjong Pagar. It's a very very nice hotel. I would recommend it to those looking for a place to stay in Singapore. But only stay there if you are willing to fork out some big amount of cash from your wallet. But trust me, the services and facilities you get is very well worth every single Singapore$ that you pay. Took some pictures of the place for you guys to judge for yourself.

My favourite part of my room was the toilet. Trust me... you will wanna spend a lot of your time in the bath room. Celebrated Christmas in Orchard Road. Freaking packed with people and very happening. It was a great experience. During my 3 days stay there, I manage to visit the Night Safari, People's Park, East Coast (or West..I forgotten) for seafood, shopping in Orchard Road and a night drive around the city at night.

When I was in Singapore, I finally saw what I wanted to see all this while. I never thought I have the chance to be able to see them in such a close distance. It felt really good to finally lay my eyes on this wonder of the world... No!! I'm not talking about the lion headed mermaid thinggy, I think it's called Merlion... and I'm certainly not talking about Suntec City... who really cares about those stuff. I was talking about the chiobus and SPGs in Singapore. They are, I quote Alvin, "Da BOMB!!". Too bad I couldn't take any decent pictures of them. It would be nice to post up some pictures here. To those who does not know what is chiobu, according to my Malaysia-Singapore International Hokkien Dictionary, they are..

chiobu adj attention-grabbing females, unique females or leng lui usually found in Singapore

Well that's all the stuff that I can really share for now. Have to look in to the gallery to share other pictures... there are some 'naughty' ones... but you guys will have to ask for it... Anyways, Merry belated Christmas and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
